Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it. Short, because we collect little.
Effective 13 September 2026. Operated by PKMG Holdings LLC, 2125 Biscayne Blvd, Ste 204 #23045, Miami, FL 33137, United States. Questions to support@builtwithai.com.
The short version
We collect your email address if you give it to us, your answers to the four questions before it, and basic anonymous information about how the page was used. We do not sell your data.
We do advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and this site runs Meta’s advertising pixel so we can tell which ads bring people who actually join. That means Meta is told when you visit, and — if you join — that someone who saw our ad joined, identified by a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address rather than the address itself. It is the one place we share anything with a company that is not simply running the Service for us, and it is described in full below.
Who we are
PKMG Holdings LLC, 2125 Biscayne Blvd, Ste 204 #23045, Miami, FL 33137, United States, operator of learn.builtwithai.com. For anything in this policy, email support@builtwithai.com.
What we collect
When you start signing up
- Your email address.
- Your answers to the questions we ask before it — what you would build, where you are starting from, what has stopped you, when you want it live. You can skip every one.
- We record your email before you are shown the price, not after. If the price is not for you we still have the address — which is why it is worth saying plainly rather than leaving you to infer it from an email that arrives later.
- Which version of the page you saw, from the link you arrived on, so we know which message brought you.
- The page you were on, the site that referred you, and the country your request came from. The country is reported by our network provider, not worked out from anything you sent.
- Your IP address and the time you submitted, stored with the address itself. This is personal data and we would rather name it than bury it: it is kept so a real submission can be told apart from an automated one, and so that consent to be emailed is something we can evidence rather than merely assert. It is not used to locate you, not used for advertising, and not shared. Ask us to delete your data and it goes with the rest.
If you sign in with Google
We receive your email address and whether Google has verified it. That is the entire scope we ask for — not your name, not your profile picture, not your contacts. We use it to find or create your account, and we never receive your Google password.
If you use the course
- Your account email, your lesson progress, and your quiz and challenge submissions.
- Anything you post in the forum, which other members can see.
Automatically, as you browse
- A per-visit id held in your browser’s
sessionStorage, so we can see that one visit’s steps belong together. It is not shared with anyone, and your browser discards it when you close the tab. - A sign-in cookie, once you have an account, so you stay signed in. It holds a random session identifier and nothing about you, cannot be read by JavaScript, and is cleared when you sign out. A second short-lived cookie exists only during a Google sign-in, to make sure the reply we get back is the one we asked for. Neither is used for advertising or shared with anyone.
- Aggregate page statistics — views, referrers, countries — through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors.
- Meta advertising cookies (
_fbpand_fbc), set by Meta’s pixel._fbpis a random browser identifier;_fbcis recorded only if you arrived by clicking one of our ads, and holds the click identifier Facebook or Instagram put on the link. Together they let Meta tell us that an ad led to a signup rather than reporting nothing at all. Unlike the others on this page, these are advertising cookies, they last up to 90 days, and blocking them costs you nothing — the site works identically without them.
Payments
Payment is handled by Stripe, which receives your card details directly. We never see or store them. Stripe acts as merchant of record for the subscription, so it also handles any sales tax or VAT due. We keep a record of your subscription status and payment history so we can give you access and handle refunds.
Why we collect it
- To run the Service — give you access, track progress, take payment.
- To email you — the message you asked for, plus account and billing notices.
- To understand what is working — which version of the page people respond to, where they stop, whether the course is landing. This is why the answers to those four questions are worth asking: they tell us who is actually arriving.
- To know which ads are worth running — we tell Meta when someone reads the free lesson, starts checkout, or joins, so we stop paying for ads that bring people the course is wrong for. Meta receives your email address only as an irreversible hash, which it compares against hashes of its own; it never receives the address itself from us.
We do not sell your data. We do not build a profile of you ourselves, and the only advertising use of it is the Meta reporting described above. If we ever wanted to use it for something not described here, we would ask first.
Email, and how to stop it
If you gave us your email but did not subscribe, we may send you a small number of messages about the course, and nothing else. If you subscribe, you also get account and billing emails — your receipt, a failed payment, a lesson opening — which are part of the Service and cannot be switched off while you have an account.
Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough — we record the opt-out and stop. You can also email support@builtwithai.com and ask.
Who else handles your data
Only the companies that make the Service work. Each is bound to process it on our instructions.
- Cloudflare — hosting, network, and cookieless page statistics.
- Neon — the database, hosted in the United States.
- Resend — sending email.
- Google — if you choose to sign in with it, and only then.
- Stripe — payments and card data.
- Meta — advertising measurement, as described above. Unlike the others in this list, Meta is not simply processing data on our instructions: it uses what it receives under its own terms. You can limit that in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, or by blocking the pixel with any tracker blocker.
- Anthropic or Google — if you use the AI helper or submit work for grading, the text of that submission is sent to the model provider to produce a response. Do not put anything confidential into it.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety. If the business is sold, data moves with it under this same policy.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Data is stored in the United States. We keep signup records until you ask us to delete them or until they are clearly stale. Account data is kept while your account exists and for a reasonable period afterwards; billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is longer than the rest.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop sending you marketing.
Email support@builtwithai.com and we will do it. We will not charge you, refuse you service, or give you a worse price for asking. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under your local law, and we will honour those too.
Some things we must keep even if you ask — a record of a payment we are required to retain, or the fact that you unsubscribed, which we keep precisely so we do not email you again.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, access to the database is restricted, and card details never reach our systems. No service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise — if a breach affects you, we will tell you.
Children
The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top, and for material changes we will tell you by email or in the Service before they take effect.
